Overview

Designed motion graphics for a 30-second REELZ promo celebrating American Icons in connection with America’s 250th. The piece combines archival celebrity imagery, patriotic textures, bold typography, and editorial-style transitions to create a polished on-air campaign spot.

Goal

Create a visually engaging promo that connects REELZ’s celebrity-focused programming with a larger patriotic theme. The design needed to feel nostalgic, energetic, and network-ready while clearly promoting the tune-in information for the programming event.

Concept

The concept centers around American pop culture legacy—using a fast-moving collage of recognizable figures, vintage imagery, flag textures, and graphic paper-tear elements to evoke history, fame, and cultural impact. The visual style blends newspaper-inspired design with modern motion to make the campaign feel both classic and current.

Execution

Built a dynamic sequence using layered archival imagery, rhythmic cuts, subtle texture overlays, halftone-inspired treatments, and torn-paper transitions. The promo resolves into a bold graphic endpage with clear hierarchy for the American Icons title, schedule, start date, and REELZ branding.
